Virginia Beach, VA (April 14, 2023) – On Friday, April 7, 2023, Howard Hanna Real Estate Services (HHRES) Southeast presented Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters (CHKD) with a $100,000 donation for the Lighting The Way campaign, a fund for a new pediatric mental health hospital in Norfolk. Howard Hanna leadership had an opportunity to meet with CHKD Vice President of Mental Health Service Jack Warburton and get an update on the mental health initiative.
Regional HHRES managers and agents held several fundraising events throughout the year to support the company-wide Howard Hanna Children’s Free Care Fund. “The Realtors at Howard Hanna have worked all year to raise funds so all children in need of a procedure are assured they receive top-notch care at CHKD,” said Brenda Reid, president of HHRES Southeast. “We’re honored to invest in the children of our region and proud of our company and everyone that supports this mission with us.”
Howard Hanna Real Estate Service’s Children’s Free Care Fund (CFCF) started in 1988 as a partnership with University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Children’s Hospital. As HHRES grew, so did the CFCF. To date, CFCF has raised more than $19 million for families across the HHRES 13-state footprint.
